The latest Baker Hughes report reveals another week of decreased drilling activity across the board. The U.S. rig count dropped by 6, bringing the total to 578, down 25 from this time last year. Canada mirrored that trend with a 6-rig decrease, totaling 114 rigs and falling 2 below last year’s count. International numbers also dipped, with the monthly count down 8 rigs to 891—an 87-rig decline compared to a year ago.

These figures reflect a cautious global energy environment. Operators continue to scale back, delay, or re-evaluate projects in response to fluctuating oil prices, cost pressures, and regulatory developments.

At Aries One, we understand the challenges of navigating a volatile energy landscape. That’s why our Consulting, Project Management, and Staffing are designed to provide stability, efficiency, and strategic clarity—no matter how the rig count shifts.
