BP Seeks Partner for High-Pressure Kaskida Project in US Gulf

BP is actively pursuing a minority partner for its 20,000-psi Kaskida development — a deepwater project located in the US Gulf of Mexico’s Paleogene play. This marks BP’s first greenfield development in the Paleogene, signaling a strategic push into ultra-high-pressure frontier resources.

The Kaskida project is expected to deliver 80,000 barrels per day from six subsea wells, supported by a dedicated floating production unit. With first oil targeted for 2029, BP’s search for a stakeholder reflects the capital intensity and technical complexity of high-pressure deepwater assets.

As operators look to de-risk projects of this scale, the role of specialized technical advisory becomes critical — from well design and facilities engineering to procurement, regulatory compliance, and deepwater workforce support.

Aries One delivers tailored solutions across every stage of complex energy developments. Our expertise helps clients execute deepwater strategies safely, efficiently, and with precision.
